I am a software engineer...

I love technology and I especially love making it do what I want it to do. It was only natural that I should be a software engineer. I started down that road many years ago and have no plans to turn back.

... but that is just my job.

Being a software engineer is only a small part of who I am. Above all, I want to seek the truth. I believe that the external world exists and is knowable. It's my intention to learn as much as I can about it during this short life I have here on earth. If you find me away from my computer, it's likely I'll be in front of a book or with some good friends discussing life's deepest questions.

    Allocate is a digital envelope budgeting system. Since everyone hates to budget, Allocate is designed to be quick and useful without sacrificing elegance.


  • iCal to gCal

    iCal to gCal is a simple web service that allows people to add their iCloud calendars to their Google calendar. While not a complicated project, it's a good example of a simple but useful website that actually helps people.

My life consists of many different parts, but there is one consistent thread running through all of them. That thread is Truth. In everything that I do, I desire to live my life in a way that is truthful; with my words, actions, and beliefs.

The foundational truth upon which all other truths are grounded is that God is real and that he is involved in this world. This is where I start every day of my life. I desire to please God and enjoy Him in everything. Each day is a new opportunity to learn how to do life better.
